Aha—so glad you asked. Casa Cicheti is an extension of our first Cicheti trattoria, and the Cicheti name has been spun into various offshoots such as Bar Cicheti and Caffe Cicheti over the years.
The term, Cicheti (pronounced “chi-KET-tee”), is actually a Venetian tradition of small plates typically enjoyed in back alley wine bars—said to derive from the Latin “ciccus,” meaning “little”. Located in one of Singapore’s oldest public housing estates, the idea of a “Little House” seemed only fitting.
-
We know there are many fans of Cicheti’s Neaoplitan style pizzas, and we’re proud to introduce at Casa Cicheti our new ‘Nea-Romana’ pizzas—a signature house style born from a decade of experimenting with dough, landing in a sweet spot between two Italian classics—the crispiness of a Roman crust with the depth of Neapolitan flavour.
Each pizza is crafted with a blend of 3 flours—00, semolina, and earthy rye—and slow-fermented for over 60 hours to deepen flavours and soothe the gut.
Full of crunch and character in every bite, we can’t wait for you to give it a go.
